Home Alone

That's right... I am alone in my house for three full days and nights!

Brian took the kids to Chicago for his annual birthday celebration with his sister. I stayed home to work... which I was pretty excited about, actually. I thought of all the things I could get done without two little beings pulling at my pant legs - like uninterrupted phone conversations, naps, exercise, oh the possibilities were endless! I imagined how clean my house would stay, how few dishes there would be, and how many Girl Scout cookies I could eat without sharing.

I spent two full days relishing in my freedom and checking things off my list. I worked, I napped, I ran, and I ate whatever I wanted. It.was.wonderful!

Then reality set in...

It's quiet here.

I've only been touched by the shake of a hand.

My bed is REALLY cold at night.

I miss my family - the crazy, the silly, and the loud.

And I can't wait to do this at the airport tomorrow!
