Old Hats

You probably think that we are "old hats" when it comes to sick kids:

-We are not strangers to the pediatrician's office (we're more like celebrities, really).
-We don't think twice when it comes to paging our doctors after hours.
-"Medicine", "Syringe", and "Pharmacy" are household words we use regularly.
and
-Rectal thermometers don't make us squirm.

but surprisingly...
"104 temperature", "double ear infection", and "antibiotics" are all new to this household. And this baby does not like medicine. No sirrey. Will. not. let. a. drop. enter. his. mouth. None! (Very unEdenlike).
